Dalga Beach and decking area

It was about 5pm and a large icy cold bottle of Efes was placed in front of me. It tasted great so I settled in. I chatted with Okan and Ergun while they tended their customers, many of whom were locals and clearly friends of theirs. I was introduced to many of them as the evening wore on. BB King changed to the Chilli Peppers as the tempo of the evening changed. Efes soon turned into Raki . This is a great drink, it is similar in taste to Ouzo and is served with water, it is a drink that will forever remind me of my time in Turkey . If they are in season ask for the green plums to have with the Raki

I lost count of the number of Raki's I had that night, (but then I think Raki does that to you anyway). I finally left the bar at around 3 am and staggered back to my accommodation having experienced a great night and meeting some truly friendly people.

Normally I am the sort of traveller to go somewhere different every night to see as much as I can, but at Dalga Beach Bar and Restaurant I felt welcomed and so I did not venture anywhere else for the entire week.  The weather and music was great, the food and drink delicious but above all else it was the people I met at Dalga that made my holiday special. I will definitely return, after all I still have several more Aslan sutu to drink.  Serefe! "

Beach Bar and Restaurant

We have created a community beach for families to come to and enjoy a care free day at the seaside. There is a restaurant and bar with bar snacks available all day. We provide beach chairs for your comfort at no cost, you choose where you want to put them. There is waiter service or you can simply go to the bar and order.

This is the place to relax: use the sun beds; take advantage of the shade provided by the lovely trees: go and lounge on the giant cushions, have a swim or play cards, listen to the quiet music playing in the background or go and make a request to change it if you want to. A place to meet your friends and chill

Dalga Beach is a relaxing place for the whole family to enjoy a day out.

Here is a really cool piece form Iain, who sums up what Dalga is really about, Thanks Iain mate look forward to seeing you again soon.

"I've travelled the globe a bit, and I always like to find the local watering hole wherever I go. For me it is the best way to get a true feel of a place.

I arrived in Ortakent on the Friday afternoon from London …I was walking down the beach and from a beach hut bar I heard BB King sharing his feelings with the world. Naturally I investigated and found Dalga Beach Bar and Restaurant. Behind the bar I found two of the nicest guy's I've ever met, Ergun and Okan. I fumbled through my Turkish phrase book and said my first Merhaba followed by an awkward bir bira .
